To Do List
The first time I became a manager, I had to learn what it meant to switch from being a high performer to someone who served a team.
One day, a team member called me and said, "Jill, you are likely going to want to fire me after this call." I grabbed a legal notepad and took vigorous notes. After the call was over, I added the header "To Do List" at the top of the page. Her feedback was a gift as it showed me ways my team needed me to show up for them.
Many people have asked what my priorities are and how I plan to serve our schools. The answer is... where I am needed.
Thank you to everyone who has reached out to share their voice and concerns. Being a parent of two kids currently in our schools, I regularly see ways we can show up for our students and those who care for them. I am taking notes, researching, and will share what I learn with everyone <3
